Guatemala: Bereaved Indigenous families get closure
Over 20 years after the end of Guatemala's civil war, the families of thousands of indigenous people killed in the violence are finally able to bury their loved ones and find closure Thousands of indigenous people died during Guatemala's decades-long civil war, which ended in 1996. But they were not included in the official death toll and did not receive proper burials. Now, some families are getting closure as mass graves are being opened, and DNA testing finally allows them to bury their loved ones.
