Nigeria fuel crisis: Black market thrives as price rises
Nigeria is in the midst of a severe fuel shortage causing large queues at petrol stations across the country. This has led to a thriving black market, where some vendors are selling petrol at double the approved government prices. The Government blames the fuel shortage on these vendors, saying they want to push up the prices. This shortage and hike in prices has had a knock-on effect on other areas such as transport and more, with people saying the price of many other things have also gone up.
