The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday received results from 832 national and provincial constituencies out of 840. According to the Commission, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has begged 114 seats in the National Assembly. Whereas, the formerly governing Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) is trailing behind it with 63 seats, followed by 43 seats of PPP. The independents managed to get 11 seats in NA, while MMA and MQM-P grabbed 11 and six seats respectively. The PTI has won 123 seats in Punjab Assembly, 20 in Sindh, 67 in KP and 4 in Balochistan while the PML-N has bagged 127 seats in Punjab, 5 in KP and one seat in Balochistan. The PPP is having a lead in Sindh Assembly with 71 seats as it has won 4 seats in KP and none in Balochistan. The general elections 2018 in Pakistan ended peacefully on Wednesday with only a handful moments of disruption. In hotly contested elections, the polling day witnessed sporadic foul plays including a major bombing incident outside a polling station in Quetta that claimed over two dozens of lives and scores of scuffles among the workers of rival political parties. However, the polling process remained smooth and peaceful in major parts of the country.
